Trash Pickup Guidelines
Do’s and Don’ts
Rio Rico Sanitation Curbside Guidelines
Do:
Place your container on the street with lid opening towards the street by 6 a.m. on your collection day.
All garbage must be bagged.
Keep your container at least three feet from other containers, parked cars, mailboxes and other obstacles that may prevent our team from picking it up.
Break down or cut-up cardboard boxes to keep them from getting stuck in your container.
Don’t:
Don’t place rocks, dirt, building materials, electronics or hazardous waste in your trash container.
Do not overfill containers. Overfilled containers create litter and may not be serviceable.
Rio Rico Sanitation will only service containers provided by the RRS. Do not set out garbage in other cans, boxes, or receptacles.
Never place hot ashes, cinders, coals, or other burning material in garbage containers.
Only dispose of yard waste if it fits in the container with the lid closed.
